Supporters

The APPG is grateful for the financial support and professional engagement of our Associate Members.

They play an integral part in our work, and their expertise and insight into their respective industries are invaluable.

All Party Parliamentary Groups receive no taxpayer funding. There are costs, however, in running a professional and effective group which is done through the secretariat, Athena Foundation. Funds are required for research, administration, event management, running a website and more. All funds received (no matter how great or small the amount) are declared within the accounts of the Athena Foundation and reported to the Office of the Parliamentary Commissioner for Standards. For a full list of all the funding we have received since 2015, please click on the link here. Please note that all monies go directly to funding the salaries and reasonable expenses of our key people; nothing goes, or will ever go, to any officer or parliamentarian. We always seek to minimise costs to make sure your money is spent wisely in order to get justice and compensation for victims and to work towards levelling the playing the field between businesses and financial institutions. Reasonable expenses comprise travel costs and a £25/day stipend for London.

Associate Membership

The APPG for Fair Business Banking is mainly funded through our Associate Membership scheme for professionals, companies and other interested groups. Associate Members have no say over the running of the group and membership confers no special access or privileges, however members can sponsor events and may be invited to provide professional advice. Membership is by invitation only. If you are interested in discussing Associated Membership please contact heather@theathenafoundation.org.uk.

Donations

We also very much appreciate donations from individuals who wish to support our work. These can be on a one-off or monthly basis, and we recommend a minimum donation of £250. If you are able to donate please click here.

Project Funding

In addition to associate memberships, we receive project specific funding for individual workstreams.  Project funding by industry stakeholders does not influence the work the APPG and participants have no influence on the terms of reference or the outcomes of any work.  These are the sole discretion of the APPG and are set in line with the key objectives of the Group. Details of individual participants in each workstream are detailed on the relevant page.
